Abdulghani Muthanna (Ph.D)
An associate professor at the Department of Teacher Education, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway.
An associate professor at the Department of Teacher Education, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language with Honors from Taiz University, Yemen, a Master’s degree in Foreign Language Education: English Language Teaching with distinction from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy (International and Comparative Education) with distinction from Beijing Normal University, Beijing. Further, Muthanna conducted postdoctoral studies at Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway. In addition to participating in many conferences, seminars, and workshops, and collaborating in several research groups, his research has been published in international journals and books. Mohamed Makki
Mohamed Makki is a Chartered Professional Accountant (2014) who works as a Financial Advisor for Indigenous Services Canada.
He has several years of experience in accounting and tax gained through working in the public and private sector since 2010. Mohamed earned a Bachelor of Commerce, with Concentration in Accounting from the University of Ottawa in 2009.
Mohammed Almahfali
Mohammed Almahfali is a fellow researcher at Lund University. He received his Ph.D. in Arabic literature from Cairo University in 2014, and worked at Hadhramout University, Yemen as an assistant professor.
Mohammed’s research interests include discourse analysis, access to health, capacity-building in higher education and sustainable post-conflict recovery strategies to address the challenges in Yemen for the coming years. Among his recent research is the RAPP project for an annotated bibliography about Human Rights in the Arab world. Mohammed has also been involved in work concerning how art and media can be used as tools to enhance democracy, gender equity and social justice in Yemen. He is currently working in the EU-funded EMME project (Environmental Management in the Middle East), which aims to develop capacity in universities in Yemen and Iran, to deal with environmental issues in these countries

Gokh Amin Alshaif (Ph.D)
Gokh Amin Alshaif is a PhD student in History at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her area of study is the history of modern Yemen (19th century to the present). With a focus on race and racialization in the Arabian Peninsula, her research explores the social history of Yemen's marginalized racial minorities.
She is interested in questions of activism and resistance in these communities as well as how Yemen’s Oceanic legacy shapes the country’s revolutionary past and present.
Prior to her doctoral studies, Gokh received a Bachelor’s of Art in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. She also received a Master’s degree in Global & International Studies from UC Santa Barbara. As a Masters student, her research focused on Yemeni women, Yemen’s personal status laws, human rights, education, and development.
