Kais is an international development specialist and a project manager. He is one of the founders of Yemen Social Fund for Development. He started and managed the Fund’s small business program that initiated Al-Amal Microfinance Bank and the Small Enterprise Promotion Services Agency, and other leading institutions. He advised the World Bank, the European Union, and other international organizations. Kais holds a degree in industrial engineering and a Master’s in business administration and Master’s in conflict resolution. He is currently working for the Canadian International Development Research Council. He writes on development and other public issues.
